Follow the steps below to listen to text or files using the Speechify Mac app: ​

Open the Speechify Mac app from your Launchpad. ​

​Step 2: Play or Pause Selected Text

Press ⌥ (Option) + Q to play or pause the audio.

- Select any text you want to listen to.
- Press ⌥ (Option) + Q to play or pause the audio.

Select any file you want Speechify to read.

Press ⌥ (Option) + A to start or stop the reading.

- Select any file you want Speechify to read.
- Press ⌥ (Option) + A to start or stop the reading.

Step 4: Use the Menu Bar (Alternative Method)

Locate the Speechify icon in the Mac Menu Bar. Click the Play button to start reading the selected text or file. ​
