How to change the reading appearance on the Mac app?

There are various options to help you adjust the look of your reading screen.

Note that the screenshots below are for Reader View, which works with copy-pasted texts. If you want to choose the Original View on your PDF files, refer to this article here.

  • Launch your Mac app

  • Open a file from your Library

  • Click the Aa icon, which appears on the top right of the file.

    From here, you can choose Cursor Color, Background Color, Font Type, Font Size, and Bold Font.

    💡 Important Note: The font features (type, size, and bold font) only work on the Reader View. It is not available on Original View. To learn more about Reader and Original view, check this article here.

  • Cursor Color

    • Change the cursor color to any available color.

    • Enable Highlight Sentence if you wish for the entire sentence.

    • Disable Highlight Sentence if you only want a word to be highlighted.

  • Background Color

    • You can choose from Basic, Warm, and Muted.

      • Basic

      • Warm

      • Muted

  • Font Type

    • You can choose from the available Font Types: Avenir Next, Courier, Georgia, New York, Open Dyslexic, SFMono, SF Pro Text, and Times New Roman.

  • Font Size

    • Click the minus (-) icon to decrease size

    • Click the plus (+) to increase size

  • Bold Font

    • Enable Bold font

    • Disable Bold font
