There are two ways to start listening with Speechify on Windows.
Option 1 — Play Selected Text
Select any text in any app
Use the shortcut Left Alt + A or click “Play Selected Text” from the system tray
Speechify will begin reading the selected text aloud immediately.
Option 2 — Screenshot to Listen
Use the shortcut Left Alt + X or click “Screenshot to Listen” from the system tray
Select the area containing text you want to read
Speechify will begin reading the text in screenshot aloud immediately.
Stopping playback
Use the shortcut Left Alt + Q at any time to play/pause playback. You can also tap the pause button on the Miniplayer.
