Speechify Dictation lets you type with your voice in any app on Windows. Your speech is transcribed and inserted directly into whichever text field your cursor is in — emails, documents, chat messages, and more.
Before you start
Dictation requires microphone access. If you haven't granted it yet, go to Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and turn on access for Speechify.
How to dictate
Place your cursor in any text field, then:
Hold to dictate: Press and hold the Right Alt key, speak, then release to stop. Your text will appear in the field.
Hands-free dictation: Tap the Right Alt key once to start, speak as much as you like, then tap it again to stop.
Tips
You can also use the auto-copy to clipboard feature to have your transcribed text on your clipboard — paste it anywhere with Ctrl + V.
To change the dictation shortcut, go to Shortcuts in the left sidebar.
