Speechify offers multiple on-device dictation models. The right one depends on your hardware and how you use dictation.
Smaller models
Faster and use less CPU.
Good for short commands and casual dictation.
Lower accuracy on complex or longer sentences.
Larger models
Higher accuracy, especially for long-form or complex speech.
Better at understanding context and punctuation.
Slower and more resource-intensive.
How to switch models
Open the Speechify app.
Click Dictation in the left sidebar.
Click Device Dictation Models.
Your installed models are listed — the one currently in use has an Active tag.
Click the checkmark next to any installed model to switch to it.
To download additional models, scroll down to Available Models and click the download button next to the one you want.
