Speechify Dictation lets you type with your voice in any app on Mac. Your speech is transcribed and inserted directly into whichever text field your cursor is in — emails, documents, chat messages, and more.
Before you start
Dictation requires microphone access. If you haven't granted it yet, go to your Mac’s Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and enable access for Speechify.
How to dictate
Place your cursor in any text field, then:
Hold to dictate: Press and hold the fn key, speak, then release to stop. Your text will appear in the field.
Hands-free dictation: Tap the fn + space keys once to start, speak as much as you like, then tap fn to stop.
