What are Credits?
Credits measure the computational work behind each task. Instead of charging per request or per seat-hour, Speechify Work meters usage based on the actual resources a task requires — so a quick lookup costs very little, while a long, multi-step job costs more.
How Credits Work on Speechify Work
Credits are the usage currency for Speechify Work. Every task you run consumes credits, and your subscription includes a monthly credit allowance. This article explains what credits are, how they're consumed, and how to keep track of your balance.
How many credits do I get?
Speechify Work has one plan: Speechify Max, which includes 2,500 credits per month.
Your credit allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over into the next cycle.
What consumes credits?
Credit consumption depends on the complexity and resources required for each task. Factors that influence how many credits a task uses include:
Task length and complexity — multi-step tasks that involve research, analysis, or document generation consume more credits than simple, single-step requests.
Models used — some tasks are routed to more capable (and more resource-intensive) models, which consume credits at a higher rate.
Tools and integrations — tasks that involve web browsing, file processing, or connected apps may consume additional credits.
Because consumption varies with the work performed, there is no fixed per-task price. You can always see what an individual task costs after it completes.
How do I check my credit balance?
You can view your remaining balance and a breakdown of recent usage at any time:
Open Settings in Speechify Work.
Go to Usage & Billing.
Your current balance, monthly allowance, and per-task usage history are displayed there.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Wait for your reset — your full allowance is restored at the start of your next billing cycle.
Purchase a top-up — you can buy additional credits at any time from the Usage & Billing page. Top-up credits are consumed after your included monthly credits.
