Speechify allows you to shift between light and dark modes based on your preferences.

Open the Speechify app
Go to your Speechify library and open the document you wish to read
On the reading screen, tap the Aa icon and select the background color as pointed out in the screenshot below
Finally, here's how it'll look like with dark mode on.
